Relationships Between Belt Speed and Bandwidth of Belt Conveyor
On the design of belt conveyor, it needs to consider the belt speed, bandwidth and the relationships between them.
If the belt speed is higher, the powder line density can be smaller together with the lower conveyor belt strength. Meanwhile, the reducer ratio decreases, and the entire equipment cost is reduced, which are useful to improve the belt speed. Of course, there are some notions when the belt speed is raised:
A)The high quality of roller. And the high speed of the roller parameter is roller of ovality, eccentric torque and drag coefficient. Due to the existence of ovality, if the speed is higher, the vibration of conveyor belt is greater, and the material on the conveyor belt is easy to beat, which results that the belt conveyor can't operate normally; Due to the existence of roller eccentricity moment, if the speed is higher, the roller vibration is greater, which results that the frame vibration is also greater; with the solid resistance, if the roller rotary speed is higher, the loss of bearing resistance is more, so at the higher belt speed, the roller rotary resistance coefficient should be repeatedly smaller.
B)The installation quality of belt conveyor. If the installation quality is not enough high, due to the rising belt speed, the material on the belt conveyor is easy to beat which can lead the additional stress on frame roller and produce the off tracking phenomenon.
C)Insurance. With the higher speed, it's easy to lead the accident. So at this condition, the safety measures, safety facilities and devices are essential.
