Development Lifeblood for Accessories of Engineering Machinery
Engineering machinery is an important branch of the machinery equipment industry and takes up a significant position in China machinery industry. However, the science and technology level of China engineering machinery is low, and the core technologies of high-end hydraulic parts, transmission parts and original control are handled by foreign enterprises, especially core hydraulic pump, motor, reducer and high-end multiple valve. Even though China makes breakthrough in electronic control technology especially microelectronics technology used in energy conservation and emission reduction, there are still great gaps from overseas technology. All problems above are seriously disturbing the healthy development of China engineering machinery industry. Facing the long period of awkward situation that the core accessories of engineering machinery depend on import and are restricted by overseas enterprises, the government recalls a painful experience and takes many efficient measures. In recent years, the government unveils a number of supporting policies which create a favorable policy environment for the rise of parts and components industry in 2012. Nevertheless, the professionals in the win-win situation have to worry because of the almost fanatical investment boom.
Currently, the domestic manufacturers of engineering machinery accessories are busy extending the territories which looks like that two dogs strive for a bone. Although they have absolute competitive advantages on the traditional models such as loader, bulldozer, and key parts for a complete set with their own scales and marketing means, they still rely on foreign advanced parts and components based on introductions of advanced technologies, such as the imports of key accessories for paver, concrete machinery. For some large and high intelligent class products and emerging professional products (such as bulldozers above 220 horsepower, engineering drill etc.) domestic enterprises have no competences. Especially for typical earth moving equipment - excavators, the market shares nearly are taken up by overseas enterprises because of the technological lacks on control and key accessories productions.
As a whole, parts and components industry in China should strive to become an OEM supplier with an international standard. In the situation of technological monopoly, overseas enterprises won't input the advanced technologies to China. The development of basic components not only relates to procurement costs reduction of enterprise, but also outstands in other ways.
